In-House Event

The Zollanvari IN-HOUSE EVENT in October is the first opportunity to preview the company’s latest design creations which will be unveiled in full at DOMOTEX Hanover and Maison et Objet Paris in 2017. On show will be the new Gabbeh collections Graffiti, Kyoto and Chimera; the latest carpets from the stylish Designer Isfahan Collection; Caprino: a brand new flatweave collection made of un-dyed goat’s hair with a modernist twist; innovative Baneh and Mazandaran minimalist kilims and stunning Mafrash boxes in new shapes and sizes.

In addition, the day will be packed with a feast of highlights that will include:

1. A fascinating lecture given by on “Design/Carpet Design: 2 dimensional and 3 dimensional” by Amir Kolahdouzian, the Managing Director of Studio NOV24, a product design company based in Vienna, Austria (for full biographies see the end of this Press Release). NOV24 have produced most of their carpet designs with Zollanvari in Iran and are currently developing a new collection for the company to be launched later in 2017. The talk will seek to define design and working creatively, both in general and with reference to carpets and their function in interiors, colour palates and fads, and also the marketing of designer products and the chemistry of commerce.

2. A demonstration of the fine art of weaving Zollanvari creations by a group of nomads from the Fars region of Iran.

Biographies for NOV24

Amir Kolahdouzian and Hamideh Jafari -Sahamieh are an Iranian husband and wife team (born in Tehran in 1972 and 1984 respectively) who set up NOV24 in March 2012, a company dedicated to designing modern and timeless Persian carpets. They specialize in designing custom-made carpets for modern interior design projects and private customers.

They met in Vienna whilst working at Yeah! Marketing GmbH between 2006/7 and 2011.

Amir Kolahdouzian studied International Business Administration at the University of Vienna and brings a wealth of sales management, marketing, production management (in China at Yeah! Marketing GmbH and producing carpets for NOV24 in Iran) and market research to the team. He is currently the Managing Director of NOV24.

Hamideh Jafari -Sahamieh has an MSc from the Vienna University of Technology and is also a qualified Interior Designer (obtained at the University of Applied Science BFI, Vienna in 2012). She was Chief Designer at Yeah! Marketing GmbH between 2007 and 2011 where her responsibilities included graphic design. product design and technical production planning. She is currently the Chief Designer
